About the Brand.
In 1985, the Chrysler Corporation and the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation created a joint-venture called Diamond Star Motors. This partnership produced the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Plymouth Laser and Eagle Talon in Normal, Illinois, USA. Originally intended to be value performance coupes, these cars soon became the vehicle of choice for tuning enthusiasts. However times are changing and a DSM is becoming a “classic car” with a newfound appreciation for its importance in automotive history.
DSMnation was founded in 2010 with the idea to join DSM owners around the world to preserve the legacy of these cars. Not only do we feature proud owners keeping these cars on the road, our brand is dedicated to restoring old DSM/Mitsubishi Motors print media and advertisements from the 1980s - 1990s. Often times images from magazines and advertisements are lost in the Digital Era. Through meticulous scanning and digital recreation DSMnation is keeping a memory of automotive history alive.

About the Founder.
Just like the joint-venture Mitsubishi and Chrysler started, I too am Japanese and American. You could say my passion for Diamond-Star Motors started at a very young age when my dad purchased a new Eclipse GSX back in 1995.
When I finally got that driver’s license, the first car I bought was a 1996 Eclipse GSX, black with a grey interior, just like my dad’s. As you are well aware the Mitsu bug bites hard. I was later lucky to become the owner of a 1999 Eclipse GS-T and 1995 3000GT VR-4 Spyder. You can see more of these cars at DSMnation’s YouTube channel, Diamond Star Media.
